If you were to skydive just once, where would you want to take the leap?

The definition of skydiving states: “The sport of jumping from an airplane and typically executing a prolonged free fall before deploying a parachute.”

For the majority, skydiving is categorized as a bucket list activity rather than a sport for pursuit. Many times, it is an occasion like a birthday skydive, proposal skydive, or a skydive as a gift for another celebration. Either way, there are not many people that make a living jumping out of airplanes.

So, back to our question. If you were to Skydive just once. Or maybe two or three times in your entire life. Where would you decide to jump? The consensus would probably say that, if you had the choice, you would choose one of the most beautiful skydiving destinations that exists. Welcome to Skydive Virgin Islands.

The Virgin Islands is considered to have some of the most beautiful beaches and Caribbean waters on the planet. The winter in the Caribbean provides a cool eastern trade wind breeze that provides a perfect temperature for a plethora of outdoor activities. As beautiful as St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John are on foot, try to imagine what it is like looking down from 10,000 feet!

Skydive Virgin Islands operates for just a few months a year on both St. Thomas and St. Croix. Based on St. Thomas, its operating days are Monday-Saturday, 9AM-Sunset. St. Croix operations occur only twice a year. Typically, there will be one weekend in December and one weekend in January. St. Croix skydiving is simply a magical experience. Here is why. The Twin City island is known for its beautiful west coast rainforests, which you can see from your parachute as you float down and land right next to on the beach! Every St. Croix skydive performed will start from 10,000 feet over the Caribbean ocean and end on the west side beaches of Frederiksted. It doesn’t get much better.

While St. Croix may seem like a skydive out of a dream, don’t count out St. Thomas’ views. St. Thomas from 10,000 feet looks like a tiny key compared to the tremendous size of St. Croix. The airplane will take off on the far west end of the island and climb to the jumping altitude clear across the island. The instructors will point out all the beautiful sights to see along the way including St. John which is just a few miles away. The surrounding keys of Water Island, Hassle Island, Little & Great St. James creates many different depths of water in the surrounding area. In tandem skydiving, as you fall to the earth at 120mph, you really appreciate all the amazing turquoise and blue waters surrounding both St. Thomas & St. John.

Skydiving in the Virgin Islands is arguably one of the most beautiful places to skydive in the world. If you have or have not skydived yet, we’d suggest you still take the tandem skydive leap from 10,000 feet in the Virgin Islands.
